'les champs du riau'
'Les Champs du Riau' is a small farmhouse dating back to about 1800, which we have equipped for 5.
The house stands with it's back to a country road (3 cars daily...) on 3 hectare of land in property, mainly forest, and is surrounded by fields, with the Choeurs et Bommiers natural forest nearby. Most of the furniture and equipment were present in the house when we bought it and have been for a lifetime ... we completed it by adding old regional furniture, and don't worry: we also added some modern comfort!
The ground floor of the cottage consists of a large living/dining room with fireplace (25m²), a kitchen (gas cooker, fridge, microwave, dishwasher 9m²)), bathroom (tub, shower and washing machine, 6m²) and toilet. A master bedroom with one king size bed (10m²) and a large second bedroom with three 3/4 beds are in the attic (15m²).
In front of the house is a covered terrace to get some fresh air, no matter what the weather is like! And there's largely enough space left to enjoy the sun. The kids will have fun on the swings, unless they are discovering the forest and climbing into trees... From June 2008 onwards there will be a wooden pool (diam. 6 m).
